The Jaya Krishna Goit-led faction of the Janatantrik Tarai Mukti Morcha (JTMM-G) on Tuesday announced that it would boycott the upcoming constituent assembly polls. In a statement, JTMM-G coordinator Jaya Krishna Goit said they decided to boycott the CA polls, "as it will not do the welfare of the Madhesis".
It said the JTMM-G will launch an armed struggle against the polls. The statement said JTMM-G will hold a publicity campaign from September 14 to October 2; stage torch rallies on October 3 and 21; call a three-day Tarai bandh from October 4; torch national flag on October 22; mobilise people from October 23 to November 19, and call a four-day Tarai bandh from November 20.
